The Institute of Comparative Law will organize an English language
international conference on the collision of copyrights and human rights in the
digital era. This is the first event that discusses this issue in Hungary (and
in English language); therefore it can give a unique perspective for those, who
are interested in copyrights and/or human rights.
The programme includes 16 great presentations from scholars and practitioners
from seven different jurisdictions. The conference will be opened by Péter
Mezei, and will start with the keynote speech of Peter Yu. Four different
panels are set up to deal with the basics of copyright and human rights, the
need for balance between these two bunches of interests, file-sharing and some other
current copyright issues. Panels will be moderated by Tuomas Mylly, Mihály
Ficsor Sr., Stefan Larsson and Peter Yu.
The conference will take place in Szeged and will happen on February 25,
2012. For all the other relevant information please read the embedded letter
of invitation. (Programme on the fourth page!)
Looking forward seeing you in Szeged.
